Vikings: 25th NFL Team to Attend ENCThe Minnesota Vikings have joined a long list of NFL teams sending scouts to this year's ELITE National Combine (ENC) in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium. ELITE NFL Consultant, John Beake, confirmed yesterday that the Vikings will be represented at the ENC. Minnesota joins 24 other teams at the ENC this year including: Bengals, Bills, Broncos, Buccaneers, Cardinals, Chiefs, Colts, Cowboys, Dolphins, Falcons, Giants, Jaguars, Jets, Lions, Panthers, Raiders, Ravens, Redskins, Texans, Titans, Saints, Seahawks, Steelers, 49ers. "NFL teams are committed to fielding the absolute best players available. While most come through the draft there are always players from other sources that the NFL wants to evaluate."said Mr. Beake. ELITE Executive Director, Stephen Austin, said, "ELITE has a long history of revealing undrafted players and players who, for one reason or another, find themselves on a somewhat unconventional path to the NFL." The ENC provides NFL teams an in-depth look at each ENC athlete including athletic tests, extensive position drills and player interviews. To qualify for an invitation to the ENC, players must attend an ELITE Regional Combine, score at least an 8.60 test grade, post a qualifying 40 time and perform position drills at a pro level. ELITE Combines insures pro football and pro prospects that all players receive equal exposure and no talented player will be missed.
