Knorr Earns AFC Player of the Week Honors
After a successful college career at Utah State, Knorr was out of football completely from 1997-1999 as he pursued a career away from the field. Then, in 1999, he decided to give the NFL a shot. After training and attending ELITE Combines in February of 2000 he was able to impress the Cowboys enough to sign him to a free-agent contract on April 20, 2000. He won a battle in training camp and burst onto the NFL scene, finishing fourth in the NFC and 11th in the NFL with a Dallas Cowboy rookie record 42.8 yard gross punting average. He followed that up in 2001 with a 40.2 yard average on 78 punts. Knorr has been the Broncos punter since 2002. Related Links: |
