Cowboys Re-sign ELITE Alumnus Erik Bickerstaff

FB Erik Bickerstaff is expected to be the Cowboys short-yardage and goal-line back, complimenting starting tailback Julius Jones.
March 8, 2005 - The Dallas Cowboys have re-signed ELITE Alumnus FB Erik Bickerstaff. Bickerstaff was an exclusive rights free-agent who originally signed with the Cowboys in 2003.

The 24-year-old running back played in four games as a rookie in 2003, getting 19 carries for 56 yards and one touchdown. He missed all of the 2004 season after suffering a torn Achilles last summer, but is expected to return by the start of training camp in July, possibly even for a mini-camp in June. The 6-0, 230-pound back is expected to be the Cowboys short-yardage and goal-line back, complimenting starting tailback Julius Jones.

Bickerstaff attended ELITE Combines on May 11, 2003 at Northern Illinois University that year.
