ELITE Alumnus Nick Harper Re-signs with Colts

CB Nick Harper has started 27 games for the Colts the past two seasons.
April 15, 2005 - The Indianapolis Colts have re-signed ELITE Alumnus CB Nick Harper to a two-year contract. Harper, a starter at corner for the Colts the last three seasons, became a free-agent in March but decided to stay in Indianapolis.

The 30 year-old Harper has started 27 games for the Colts the past two seasons, recording three interceptions last season and a team high four interceptions in 2003. In 59 games since joining the Colts in 2001, Harper has totaled 209 tackles, 9 interceptions, 26 passes defensed, 1 forced fumble and 1 touchdown.

Harper attended ELITE Combines on March 26, 2000 and was quickly signed by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL. After one impressive season in Hamilton he was signed by the Colts on January 16, 2001. He served as a reserve CB for two seasons before taking over the starting role in 2003.
