NFL Teams Visiting ELITE Football OPD in Record NumbersApril 4, 2008 The National Football League, Canadian Football League, Arena Football League, and Arena Football 2 logged 1,643 visits to the ELITE Online Player Database (OPD) in 2007. This is a record number of visits in the 20 year history of ELITE Combines. While visiting the ELITE, pro team personnel viewed 12,845 online player profiles. The OPD, first developed by ELITE Combines in 1997, has changed the way pro teams review player data. The regularly updated, always available, multimedia format of the OPD has replaced the static, paper printouts of the past and has driven its exceptional popularity among pro football personnel.
“ELITE Combines provides an excellent system for players to receive league-wide exposure,” says Brian Billick, former Baltimore Ravens Head Coach. With the addition of streaming video, the OPD became a full multimedia database, bringing together data, full body photos and full-motion video in one, easy-to-use database. Its powerful search tools save teams tremendous amounts of time, allowing them to quickly locate and sign the best players for their team throughout the year. Michael McCarthy, former New England Patriots and San Diego Chargers personnel director says “ELITE Combines provide me with accurate data I use when considering a player for a pro contract.” Over 2,500 players have signed a professional football contracts by every team in the NFL, NFL Europe, CFL, AFL and af2. In 2007, over 80% of all pro teams had ELITE players on their roster.
NFL clubs have signed over 450 ELITE players, including many current NFL pro-bowlers and Super Bowl winners. Such standout players include Falcons Pro Bowl WR Joe Horn, Jets WR Wayne Chrebet, Cardinals Pro Bowl Punter Scott Player, Saints Pro Bowl KR Michael Lewis, Ravens OC Mike Flynn, Redskins WR David Patten, Chiefs LB Mike Maslowski, Titans CB Nick Harper, and Colts Kicker Adam Vinatieri |
