Scout
Camp Celebrates 10 Years of
AFCA Endorsement
April 23, 2008- The American Football Coaches Association was founded in 1922 for the purpose of improving the coaching profession and the sport of football. Since their first meeting of 43 coaches in
New York
in 1921, the AFCA has grown to more than 10,000 members including coaches from every D-1 College and NFL team.
Ten years ago today, the AFCA Board of Directors voted unanimously to endorse Scout Camp Pro Football Regional Combines.
“The AFCA Board of Directors evaluated Scout Camp over a period of three years and I can tell you Scout Camp would not have received our Board’s stamp of approval unless the program was unfailing professional, accurate in its testing and genuinely caring about players.”
Grant Teaff
, AFCA Executive Director
With the AFCA endorsement, Scout Camp is entrusted with the responsibility of providing a dependable and trustworthy evaluation system for both teams and players. The AFCA endorsement confirms for the players they are participating in an effective and legitimate pro tryout system.
“For the past twenty years, Scout Camp has been dedicated to providing a safe and professional tryout experience for football players all over the country. Their passion, dedication and, most important, EXPERIENCE made Scout Camp worthy of the AFCA endorsement.”
Walter Abercrombie
, Baylor University AAD and former AFCA Director of Education and Special Projects
Founded in 1989, the longevity of Scout Camp is not only due to quality service, but to the support and endorsements from leading football organizations such as AFCA. Scout Camp considers these endorsements not just an honor, but a responsibility as well.
Scout Camp appreciates the trust Coach
Grant Teaff
and the AFCA Board of Directors have placed in Scout Camp, and will always make every effort to continue to earn that trust.
