ELITE History

1982 The United States Football League's (USFL) San Antonio Gunslingers asks ELITE Combines founder Stephen Austin to conduct a public tryout camp for the team in Washington D.C.
1985 ELITE Combines is chosen by the USFL to plan and direct a series of nationwide combine camps.
1988 ELITE Combines is founded. The first ELITE Combine is held on March 7 at Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, CA.
1989 Wilson Sporting Goods becomes exclusive ELITE Combine sponsor
1990 The World League of American Football (WLAF), later known as NFL Europe, names ELITE Combines to direct tryout camps throughout England, the United States and Canada on behalf of the new league.
1991 ELITE Combines are officially endorsed and authorized by the Canadian Football League as its Exclusive Regional Combine Service.
1991 ELITE Combiens are officially endorsed and authorized by the Arena Football League as its Exclusive Regional Combine Service.
1997 ELITE Combines develops an Online Player Database powered by a search engine capable of quickly finding players based on combine performance, name or school.
2000 ELITE Combines is endorsed by the American Football Coaches Association in a unanimous vote by the Board of Directors at the AFCA convention in Anaheim, California.
2000 ELITE Football Services is officially endorsed and authorized by the XFL as its Exclusive Regional Combine Service and selected to manage the league's tryout camps.
2002 ELITE Combines adds full-motion streaming video technology to the Online Player Database, providing combine video footage directly to teams and players via their computer screens.
2003 National Football League Competition Committee votes to establish new policy guidelines which further expand the use of ELITE Football Regional Combines by member clubs.
2005 ELITE Combines holds inaugural ELITE National Combine in the RCA Dome in Indianapolis, providing an exclusive showcase for the best ELITE players to workout in front of NFL, CFL, AFL and af2 scouts.
2006 An additional opportunity for ELITE players presents itself when the WWE contracts with ELITE Combines to search the ELITE Player Database for potential pro wrestlers.
2007 ELITE Combines hosts inaugural tryout for the All American Football League in Orlando, FL.
2007 ELITE Combines surpasses 2,500 players signed to NFL, CFL, AFL or af2 contracts.
2008 ELITE Combines surpass 450 players signed to NFL contracts.
2009 ELITE National Combine hosts a record 17 scouts from 8 NFL teams and Lucas Oil Stadium.
2010 Former Broncos GM and 3-time Super Bowl winner, John Beake joins ELITE as Director of NFL Relations.
2010 Wilson and ELITE join forces and launch the Wilson-ELITE Football Scouting Clinic.
